Privacy Policy

Accendo Solar is a free service that connects Houston-area homeowners with independent solar providers by phone. This policy explains what we collect when you visit accendosolar.com or call us, what we do with it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. If you have a question, email [email protected].
What we collect
When you call us. Calls are answered by an AI assistant. We collect:
- the phone number you call from, and the date, time and length of the call;
- your answers to the assistant's questions: the city or ZIP code of the home, whether you own it, whether it already has solar, roughly what your electric bill is, and how much sun the roof gets.
We do not record calls or keep transcripts. The AI assistant hears the call so it can answer it, but we do not keep the audio. If you are connected to a provider, MarketCall and the provider may record the call from that point, under their own policies.
When you visit this website. The site has no forms, so we do not collect anything you type. We do collect:
- a record of your visit made by ActiveProspect's TrustedForm service: what was on the page, how you scrolled and what you clicked, along with your IP address, browser and device type, and the time;
- standard server logs kept by our web host, Cloudflare, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested.
Apart from TrustedForm, described above, we do not use advertising cookies, analytics or tracking pixels on this site.
How we use it
- To find out whether a solar provider that serves your area can help, and to connect you to one on the same call.
- To settle billing with the call-routing partner and the provider. We are paid for calls we connect, which is why the service is free to you.
- To check the quality of the assistant and improve it.
- To keep a record that a visit to the site was real and not automated.
- To meet legal obligations, and to protect against fraud or misuse.
We do not call you back, text you or add you to a mailing list. We do not use your information to make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights.
The provider you are connected to is a separate company. Once they have your information, their own privacy policy applies to it. If you ask, we will ask MarketCall which provider took your call and pass on what they tell us.
How we are paid. Providers pay us, through MarketCall, for the calls we connect. That is why the service is free to you. We share your information only as described above, to make the connection you called for, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.
How long we keep it
Our own call log keeps the date, time, length and outcome of each call for 90 days, then deletes it automatically. It does not contain your phone number or your answers. Our telephone provider, Voximplant, keeps its own record of the number that called and when. We do not keep TrustedForm visit records; ActiveProspect may delete them in as few as three days. If you ask us to delete your information, we will delete what we hold and ask Voximplant to delete its record of your call, unless the law requires us to keep it.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you, and give you a copy;
- correct it;
- delete it.
Email [email protected] from, or quoting, the phone number you called from, so we can find your records. We will reply within 30 days. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to that email with the word "appeal," and we will answer the appeal within 60 days. If you are not satisfied with the outcome, Texas residents can contact the Texas Attorney General at texasattorneygeneral.gov.
Information already passed to a provider is held by them as well, so please ask them too.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we hold. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee it.
Children
This service is for homeowners. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
